i have the x type 01 model

does yours have the nokia button near the handbrake ?

when i enter the car turn the engine on it searches for bluetooth devices

if your phones bluetooth is on then search devices and it should find it

i dont have a nokia just a vodaphone special and it works ok

No Nokia botton TS but I think I've sussed it. I have a Nokia 6700 and it paired with the jag no probs. I couldnt get the phone contacts into the car, there was a complex procedure which involved various positions of the ignition key and leaving it off for 6 mins and I still didnt seem to have any phone numbers. However just been out there again and pressed the phone button, then the MR button and hey presto my contacts were on the screen, just a matter of scrolling through and selecting the one you want. Isnt technology amazing?

What sort of X type do you have then? mines a 2.0D Sport estate.

3.0 sportearnt me 3 points yesterday X(
Thats one of the reasons I opted for the diesel although its no sluggard and can do nearly 130mph apparrently!

North wales used to be the worst place for speeding offences. Thankfully the barmy brunstrom has retired and things are a bit more sensible round here now.

the problem is you fellas have no style...... :x

all doctors drive these...... :coat

XJ, XJRs are fantastic. I did actually own a damler Sov 4.2 for a very short while in the 80's. It was ridiculously thirsty so I got rid and bought a Rover 3500 SD1 instead.

I have always liked Jaguar as a marque but cannot afford to run anything with a big petrol engine. The X type estate with 2.0 Diesel makes perfect sense for me. As we are a 1 car family and dont even run a van as I am employed it does a lot of miles so needs to be economical.

Its a shame that one of Britains most prestigious marques has been sold off, first to Ford who through their own financial shortfalls had to offload it to the highest bidder.

Tata X type doesnt quite sound the same does it?

rev james.....

a jag is a jag is a jag.......

Anyone know how to set up a nokia 6700 to the bluetooth in a Jag x type o6 model?
not sure about that particular model, but other hands free kits ive used i set up from the phone. go to bluetooth devices, select car device, enter code (usually 1111,1234 or 0000), change phone setting to automatically connect and thats it
