Hey Guys and Gals,
New here, trying to wire up usb 2 or 3 to ethernet without an i2C chip involved for direct connect between one machine which has only USB HDMI etc and another which has ethernet capabilities via RJ45 female and male headers. Wanting to perform crossover data transfer between the two. Question is, should I put a managed switch between the two, crossover between managed switch and ethernet enabled device and then wire up USB to ethernet without I2C or as discussed, the same layout with an I2C enabled USB to Ethernet converter (based on the wiring layouts)?
Thanks,
Russ
