i am in the market to buy a new vaccum cleaner for work, so it needs to by heavy duty with all the dust and small pieces of rubble...

can u recommend any particular brands and models as i damaged my old one last week....

Henry, or there is one made by the same people who make steam wallpaper strippers. I think it's wet and dry.

I have a dewalt one that uses a bag if you need it for concrete dust but otherwise is wet and dry.

Can't beat Henry.

Just make sure your other half doesn't see the Hetty and want one! ; \

Gottta love Henry! My mum has a Dyson in the loft as she bought a Henry!

Charles is the awkward middle brother who's a wet and dry vacuum cleaner.

They're 2 different things. I'd not get rid of an upright if I had carpets as a Henry or similar won't clean the carpet properly as it has no beater\brush bars. A Dyson has. :)

I knew you were going to say that! Some of the add on beater bars for cylinders work, some don't, or do but with almost no power so completely pointless. Can;t say I've tried the one for the Henry tbh.

I PAT test, service and repair these everyday... :(

Numatic (Henry).. but get the commercial version..

:p

I once vacuumed the whole house for the missus and it looked the same as before I started. I didnt realise that it had to be making that 'ooooooooooo' noise while you were doing it to be effecive. I havent been asked to do it since.....
