hi guys got to get a muti functional tester and i was wandering what you thought was the best value for money tester ?

I used Flukes when I was doing my course but have now got a Metrel Easitest. Worked out cheaper than the flukes, easy enough to use and it doesn't trip rcds will doing zs tests! Only faults with it are the test lead with the button on it is really bulky and quite heavy and unlike the Flukes you can't just plug in the leads you want to use as they're all in a block.

I have a Megger 1552 but it didn't come with GS38 standard probes :_|

Lovely and easy to use, though I could do with an extra hand to wield both probes and test button :)

Anybody see the film Spy Game where the electricians were 'testing' the blown distribution board with both probes in one hand? I liked that! :DApplaud Smiley

prob a metrel,

but if you can stretch the extra couple of quid go for a fluke 1652

IMHO stay well away from megger, overpriced tat, I hate them, only my opinion mind.

I have found the Megger MIT400 good and reasonably priced too.
No comment on the tester...

but

just to say a quick Welcome to "Jennyhicks":DGuiness Drink

not sure if you are a drinker...

but new member always deserves a raised glass IMHO!Guiness Drink:) ;)
