Picking up something from Steptoes thread with recessed lights.

Anyone noticed how carp the warm white tubes are ? Started to change tubes at a regular customers offices from WW to Cool white, vast difference.

The emergency fittings my wholesales supplies come with a warm white 8watt tube ,again the ouput is that poor I buy a White 8w and sling the other.

I've always found that warm white looks better when there is some natural daylight available.

Otherwise I use Cool White.

Isn't it quite a lot of hastle changing the bulbs twice a day ;)
As you are still a young padawan, yet learning fast, I shall forgive the mis-spelling of hassle! :p

Also we don't call them 'bulbs', we call them 'lamps'. ;)

Hes right 'Patch, bulbs you plant in the garden ! Rule not ruler, our ruler is in No. 10 Downing St.

I draw the line at " Luminairs " though, they're bloody light fittings.

Bulb: electric lamp consisting of a transparent or translucent glass housing containing a wire filament (usually tungsten) that emits light when heated by electricity

Lamp: a piece of furniture holding one or more electric light bulbs

:D

Not in this trade Patch, unless its an age-ist thing, as an apprentii dreadful retribution would follow if lamps were called bulbs. :(

Blige , you'll be calling cable wire next !! ;)

So you wire with cable :D

;)

Cable ; Stranded copper conductes for carrying electric current.

Wire : Send telgraph, fasten with wire.

Conduit : A duct system for conveying water! ! Eh !! Something wrong there :) :)

Even those evil LX type people call them 'lamps'. Bulbs is a no, no!

I, for one, found that rather funny `PacheGuiness Drink"Lamp": to coloquially bash, hit, or beat usu. another person. eg. "I gived him a right lamping", or "He lamped me one."
Glad someone appreciated it :)
