Wot a `ruddy day.

On site this morning, in a commercial premises (pub) ; to install temp. supplies for all electric kitchen; whilst main kitchen is refurbed. ( as previously discussed)

Left at 5.30 p.m. to go home, feed cat & dog; let `em out for doo-doo etc., and back down for test & install of equipment.

In the meantime, someone who cancelled an xmas party `cos of the snow has re-booked for this Saturday! So now, the landlord`s missus is creating holy hell, `cos she hasn`t got this & that; only 1 oven , only 4 hotplates, only small hot table (I KNOW we`ve got power issues in here, can we run an extension lead into the main kitchen to use that on Saturday? ( "that" is a 9KW hot table [single phase]). Well put out when I said "NO"!

Finally left there at 10.45 tonight (17 miles away, 3 workers there 8-5, and 2 from 5-5.30 and 6.45 till 10.45.)

Quick blast of Rhum, with a splash of black (3rd one so far) - got to go back tomorrow to bond stainless units; and fit drainage to oven ( water had to be sorted out by us, too : headbang

That is all that has kept me going this long mate, TBH.......

Missus was on site with me. I "trained her up", so she`s competent. But when the brown stuff hit the air mover earlier, she got annoyed as she took it personally - and made it clear. I had to calm her down, and remind her that we have done "over and above" what we were asked to do; so they can`t involve us. I invoked the famous "lack of planning on your part doesn`t mean an emergency on our part" quote - bless her, she pitched in well today; especially considering the local hospital her dad is at is closed to ALL visitors except a select few ( inc. us, after he "pitched a fit" when told there`d be no visitors.) Didn`t get there today; and it must have been upsetting for her

I`m going to bed now, too - ruddy knackered
