I'm a new domestic installer NICEIC reg working on my own and learning as I go. Usually involves me having long one way discussions with the red book. I remember my instructor saying, I will never need to crimp. Well that's a lie! I now know he couldn't wire his way out of a economy 7.
I enjoy talking to the old boys that have been there an done that, experience and know how and not just book smarts. I love all things electrics. It gives me a real buzz. I just wish I would have discovered my real passion sooner in life.
