I recently acquired a 16" car radiator fan that I intend to mount on some perspex for use as an extractor fan on my brew hut window.

The fan states it is 12v 120 watt so I understand that makes it 10 amp.

I have a unit that converts mains supply to 12v 15 amps from some spotlights I used to have.

Will the fan burn out or am I all good?

No the fan will just draw the 10 amps it needs and the power supply should hapilly run at 2/3 of it's magimum power.

BUT check first this is a DC power supply. If it was just for spotlights it could just be a simple transformer with an ac output.

Thank you for the speedy response.

That was my hunch but I just got those last minute doubts. Also I just did a double check and it is DC output.

Thank you ProDave.
