Hi all, managed to sort the issue out over the weekend and found it to actually be a fault I the unit, took it back and swapped it for a new one and all is working perfectly now. Thanks for all the advice.
It's never worked and I replaced it same model for the same and put the wires back were they were before. I think the third terminal in is a switched live but do i need to use this or just the permanent live? There is a timer on it and it set in the middle at the minute.
This is what it looks like when I remove the cover, hope they are helpful, the wire I to the switch is direct from the fuse box on its own circuit, then goes straight to the transformer and from there straight to the fan motor in the bathroom.

Hi all, joined and am after advice about my bathroom extractor fan not working, replaced the fan and transformer with new ones, still no joy. It's wired directly from the fuse box on its own circuit and not connected to the light.
