So is he entitled to £5.60 per hour if he is 18 in his 2nd year 

It seems abit of a grey area really, any bosses out there who have got apprentices on their books with any information or advice 

Thanks Sharpend , it is the law I would of thought & that's why it's been put in place 

It does say that & also he has questioned his boss who seems to think he has got to be 19
