    D70 Lamp

Thank you all for your replies. I will have to accept the doorbell without illumination, as you suggest.

    D70 Lamp

I had my bungalow completely rewired a few weeks ago. The electrician fitted a Deta C3504 Mains Voltage Door Chime With Built in Transformer. He left the original push button in situ, as it would be better to do this than to fit the push button that came with the new bell, as it would mean...

    D70 Lamp

I have managed to purchase a pair of D70 lamps. I placed the lamp in position, but it does not light. I have tested the lamp with a multi meter, and it is ok. It seems that it is just causing the bell to chime without pressing the button. Am I doing something wrong.

    D70 Lamp

Screwfix sell this one. https://www.screwfix.com/p/blyss-wired-doorbell-bell-push-black/293hf#_=p Roughly same size, and it says illuminated. I guess that it will be a different kind of lamp. It also says 2 wire, which ii the same as mine. Is it just a matter of swapping the wires over.

    D70 Lamp

I have been trying to find a replacement D70 lamp for my doorbell push. The doorbell is quite a few years old, and it works fine. Everywhere I look it says no longer available. Is there an equivalent lamp. Below is a picture of the D70 lamp.

    Pir lantern

Thank you for your reply. It is about 15 months old, so out of warranty. Can you recommend a reliable one. I cannot seem to find a lantern style lamp with a separate lamp and PIR.

    Pir lantern

My lantern  has stopped  working. I have tested the  bulb with an ammeter and it is ok. I have tried  another  bulb  to  make  sure, but  the light  still  does  not  work. I have not had  the  light  too long. The  attachment  shows  a picture  of the  light.  Is it  possible  to isolate  the ...

    Security Lantern

I did not put an isolator in, but now the cable is in situ, it would not be a problem.

    Security Lantern

I drilled an upward angled hole in the outside wall as suggested. I then fed a length of flat plastic, about 12mm x 2mm up the cavity, and into the loft. I taped the cable to the end of the plastic, and pulled it through. It was easier than I thought. I connected the cable to a junction box in...

    Security Lantern

I am not an electrician, I have worked in engineering all my life, up to retiring. I installed a security light in my drive a while ago, and have done small electrical jobs myself. My bungalow is constructed of brick and breeze block. I intend to wire up to a junction box in the loft with 3 x...

    Security Lantern

Hi,  I am new to this site, and I would appreciate some help. I would like to install a pir security lantern at the front of my bungalow. I would ideally like to route the cable through the wall, into the cavity and into the loft. The cable would travel up the cavity about two feet. The cavity...
