Hi Guys ...Just an update:- after trying all options tech help finally got back.
The meter, although E7, did not have an internal OPTOMOS relay hence no switched output. There are many different set ups of the same meter model set during production with numerous codes. Just to make life...
Thanks guys for feedback so far.
The main meter is E7 3 phase. I will retest this week using the wires I connected to the meter as it was very tight testing the terminals alone. Thanks Skipper for the clarification.
Thank you for these will look into it. I did have the tech document but the auxiliary outputs mentioned pulsed input/outputs.... was hoping for a switched/linked output in the meter to neutral.
I tried to test continuity between the terminals on the right but I cant remember if between NC Terminals and those three. Also tested between neutral and live to the smaller terminals. Nothing seemed to show anything had switched or was linked to anything else while on rate 2.
I put these in to test individual outputs from the meter to contactor, as space restrictions were so tight swapping wires out ....unfortunately the rate 2 timed out after 07:30...so I left them in for next time.
Hello
Does anyone have experience of switching a E7 contactor from a meter?
I am swapping out a RPTS Sangamo used for E7 Heating (via Moeller 50A contactor), it swaps high/low rate on an old analogue sub-meter.
Customer has given me a dual rate Iskra ME162 -D3A42-G22-M3K0 meter which has 4...
EICR installation over 60+ years old, 3036s....perfect readings....kitchen never refurbished. I've seen worse 10 years old....age does not matter.
Also rare VIR in good nick, yesterdays one falling apart in the CU.
Thanks all for the calibration pointers/costs.
Personally I do not calibrate mine every year, not these solid state instruments, it is overkill. However, I do check a few times per year via RCD plug reel of T/E etc..keep a log. If you know your instrument well you will detect somethings not...

On investigating an Axial ceiling fan yesterday, dust/skin falling into the bath.....Fan is okay.

I have replaced the NSH FCU's/switches with single sockets... no waste of circuits... I think you could call it "sustainability"....with little money involved:ninja:
Ah Interesting...
Yes still power 24-7 the only thing that could change is her electricity bill.
If she is on a dual tariff (check her bills) then she is getting cheap electricity during part of the day simply by having a clock that is out. If that is the case then her leccy bill will rise a bit...
Its only a time switch...the control wire can be terminated safely without accessing the meter. If the customer is on a peak only tariff then there is no issue removing it.
What time did you take the pic 18:00-19:00 or is that clock really out ?;)
If you have tried your best to contact him via WApp, letter email etc detailing the urgency of your vulnerable mother and you get no reply. Get someone else in ASAP (even if they are not registered) He/she could bypass the tripping RCD (if the issue cannot be found quickly) to avoid further...
In a Nutshell
New consumer unit, extra wiring in a bathroom or a new circuit is notifiable under Part P.
Part P can be left with the householder, to apply (even retrospectively) at their cost. Thus you don't have to.
