When ford launched the focus in 98 they started using a smart charge system. This will ramp the voltage up to 16-17 volts to charge the battery while cold, while working on these I found if you had a non genuine or non calcium battery fitted you would often notice the lights flicker. I'm sure...

I know exactly how a hot water cylinder works and also know they shouldn't get air in. But as the waters flowing though it, leaving the cylinder at the top and being filled at the bottom, the currents in the water will be swirling around, bubbles at be created which will rise to the top, when...

I'm using a lot of the BG bards at the mo and have no problem with them at all, I think thier a rebadged MK board. Personally I would ave a problem leaving the wylex breakers in, I think this not mix and matching is a Load of rubbish!

From what I remember, there's a short wiring loom which goes to everything on the manifold with a connector on the bulk head, so disconnect this and leave the wiring on the manifold, you've sorted it now anyway. Is there anyway I can pm you a picture!

Cyl Head Skimmed Near Reddich W Mids

Your testing my memory now! It would ave been lifted with the head, can't remember what engine but one if the fords had two bolts a long way down between the manifold and block but I think that was on one of the small zetecs, can't remember much bother with the endura one though, cus it all...

Cyl Head Skimmed Near Reddich W Mids

Wen I was serving my time, I had the head off a zetec, back on, all up and running ok. Week later towed in, I'd left the 2 8mm bolts loose that hold a tin plate to the head behind the timing belt. Bolt fell out ripped the cam belt off, bent valves , I was not popular!

Cyl Head Skimmed Near Reddich W Mids

When I working on them we always had the car on a lift, can't remember ever taking the wheel liner out, nor the wheel, from what I remember it was all done from underneath. I did mainly engine management and electrical stuff though.
