New tester

Hi guys

Looking to upgrade my megger mft1720 to overcome the rcd uplift it suffers with.

What testers don't suffer with the rcd uplift and how do you find them?

Been looking at the megger 1741+ and the x1 but open to different brands.

Interesting read. We could of course just use dead testing methods for the circuits.

Aware of the issue, seen it on many occasions over the years but never heard it called that.

It only takes a few quick tests to find out whether your MFT is affected by RCD / RCBO uplift and I have only seen 1 or 2 that do pick it up and is it that big a problem it should be very clear from the Ze and R1 + R2 noted on the cert whether your MFT is picking up or not
