    Do 100ma RCD's need replacing with 30mA?

Mark2spark, I would like to know why RCD's are required on any circuits which are in a commercial/industrial environment? There are other requirements at work here. The sockets are NOT for use by ordinary persons. Paul

    Pulling the main fuse

Andy/sellers, I was just going to post a follow up to this, in that would an ELECSA/NAPIT/NICEIC etc.etc. assessor be competent to train in removing cut out fuses? At the moment I doubt it. There is also such a diversity of cut outs and applications then one would need to be very careful? Paul

    old crabtree board

Those are them Doc, however they are the 60898 variants and only available in C curve. The same units were available in 3871 & in all curves. However, the breaking capacities are a carry over from 3871! You don';t get a normal 15A 60898 breaker, you would get a 15A 3871 breaker, in 60898...

    Pulling the main fuse

sellers, Fair cop. A good point, I had not thought about the 2 levels of Part P assessment. However, do you honestly believe that 30 mins is sufficient? I believe it should be more than that unless the person under assessment can demonstrate a higher level of competence. As the end of the...

    old crabtree board

Crabtree C50 breakers. Not the curve & current but the model of the breaker. They are almost certainly 3871, however, they can also be had in 60898 as well. Difficult to get hold of now if you need new ones. Have had a few go faulty on me in the past. Probably old age and overload.

She has gone into a shed so she will not feed now until she has finished as I understand things. This was probably the underlying reason all the time. Thanks for asking.
