2330. The 6 sockets are going to be part of a Worksop ring above a bench. I want to use diversity as there won't be any fixed loads just portables.

Well here it goes. Assuming I am using 2.5mm for ring. 18xibx50/1000/4 is this the right calc for a ring? I din't know what ib to use for portable hand tools such as drills, grinders and hoovers? What ib should I use for portable hand tools?

So how do we calculate length?

Why do we protect ring final circuits with 32 amp mcb's if 2.5mm t&e can only take a maximum of 27 amps? Also when calculating volt drop on a ring, length of cable is calculated from start of leg one of ring (outgoing) to end of leg 2 of ring (incoming)? Or is it the farthest point away...

I can not understand how three phase works in an office environment. If the supply is 400v then how do you get it to drop down to 230v for office equipment such as computers etc?

What about lighting circuits are these taken off a 1 phase from the three phases? I take it you can't get 3 phase lighting?

By isolator, I mean an MCB. Do they have to be fed from different MCB's or can they be wired as radials

Ok thanks. Can you run radials on 3 phases or do they have to be on their own isolator for each socket

So this is not how a single 3 phase socket would be wired from an isolator? I just wanted a simple yes no answer? Not to be patrionised. Could you start again?
