    Mcb is 32amp, cable link is approx 300mm in length. There was no room left on top din rai so added breaker to spare din rail below, reason why link is 300mm in length not 40mm

    Hi I have installed a new mcb in my consumer unit. The cosumer unit did not have any spare busbar so I used a piece of 6mm insulated cable to link the last mcb with the busbar in to the new mcb. Just wanted to check this is ok? Cheers

    Hi KME Top man, your spot on! Just tried a zs using other lead on mains socket which was fine. Then checked fuses in live and neutral leads which were ok, then checked continuity of leads all were ok apart from the neutral lead which looks to be faulty as has no continuity. Thanks very much...

    garage power help from the pros

    If you do export the earth from a pme to the garage can you add an additional TT earth rod and connect to the pme earth in the garage db? I added power to my garage the only conductive part in the garage is the db housing, so this could become live if the neutral is lost from the cu in the house?
