    What REALLY irritates me is that they put all tech information on the carton/packaging, including dims, weight, cut out size etc except the actual power consumption figures/Wattage. which is hidden inside in the middle of an enormous handbook. So Mr & Mrs Jones get their new kitchen...

    Kitchen fitters that don't cut the tiles big enough for my accessories to screw onto the wall, so Im there with a file for hours taking off 0.05 of a mm so I can fit my FCU FCU's in general. Love what they do, hate wiring them. Floods that come 'prewired' with about 8" of flex. I always end up...

    Yeah, I've got this guy rings me every few months wants work doing....he's a bit of cnut but I just cant seem to get rid of him. I spanner up his jobs as much as possible, and even graffitied rude words on his bedroom wall, but he still rings 🤣🤣🤣

    Puzzle: I switched circuit breaker off briefly, and now it trips.

    As Evans Electric said above, if RCDs are not 'exercised' regularly they can stick a bit. Its the reason there is ( or should be) a notice on your fuseboard that advises the RCD should be checked/tested/ have its button pressed quarterly. Its sound advice.

    Hmm. I found that my car stereo was giving off a whistle whose tone related to engine speed, once Id heard it I couldn't un-hear it, did my head in. Then I discovered that it only happened when I had my ipod on charge from the other jack socket thingy, created some sort of odd induction loop...

    Yep another serial Aldi/Lidl multitool user here, really cant go wrong at that price. Not heard of Ferrex tho, that's their new 'own brand' line I take it?
