Ummm ... True ... As there are 2 bedsits if a fault accounts the front end rcd will trip both bedsits. Therefor both will have no power until resolved.. That's y I would put a time delayed rcd in.

Yep so I would replace the switch fuse with a time delayed rcd. But then some one I know who has been a spark for about 25 years said to me why would u use a rcd on SWA ?

Huh? Well no if that cable is 6m long then the reading I am getting with n and l connected mean that the cable must be longer but I don't know where else it goes I have tracked all the others. Like I said it does not trip the rcd

To today moved a cu and ring triped quick test and 230v on live earth and N... Split ring and the other leg had 230v on earth... All volts came up when the live was in mcb and on.. Any one got idea befor I go back tomoro and sort it?
