    Thanks Tim, I have been in touch with NIC and he informed me that as you stated you only need to put a comment if it is coded. Apparantly the tech guy from NIC has been inundated with the same query since the new forms started, apparantly they are going to put an explanation on the web site.

    So does that mean you only comment on items that are given a code? The form i am using are the NIC EIC NEW EICR Certificates.

    What sort of comments are they looking for in this column IE 1.5 Meter tails in good condition so i would tick but what goes in LR column? Cheers.

    No, but first re-wireable fuse i have encountered and my software does not automaticly enter short circuit capacity, but it does for 1361s and 88s.

    Thank you all for your assistance. The origional ceiling is intact so should be ok, but i will check out the snaplite fittings. I need the information on the main fuse for the PIR Report, but not verified sounds good to me.

    Thank you for the responses, It is a main re- wireable fuse, semi enclosed with asbestos, Reason for question on down lights is there is only a 3 inch gap between false ceiling and origional, most fire rated are about 6 inch deep.

    Hi people, New here, hope you can help. Short circuit capacity ka, of an old re-wireable main fuse? And do all kitchen down lights have to be fire rated? i`m pretty sure they do!
