Rightttt... I want to put a socket under my stairs. It current has a mains cable going to a light. I decided I don't want to spur off this.
The socket I want to put in will be powering a tumble dryer. So thought I may aswell as see if I could get a spur from a socket rather than a light...
One plate outside the kitchen with 3 switches (1 for under cabinet lights, 1 for first half kitchen, 1 for 2nd half kitchen). There is another plate at my back door that has 2 switches (1 for outside light, 1 for 2nd half of spot lights)
In my kitchen, when u plug the microwave and press on on the socket, our kitchen ceiling spot lights flicker once.
Same kitchen lights flicker again when we turn on the dining room light next door.
The electrician can't explain it

I have a few telephone cables tacked onto my hall wall. We have the plasterer coming on thurs to do the full hall. So I have started putting channels in to hide the cables. The problem is I can't attach the cables to the wall as its now on brick. How would I do this? Staples done work...

Getting my new house plastered and decided to tidy up some cables on the wall. There is an old telephone bell which wasn't working that I now know is connected to the current telephone line! I know this cos when I cut the cable I lost a dialing tone!!
