    V2H or V2G availability

Thanks Gian I can't see V2G working unless they can prove that it doesn't degrade the battery and offer some incentive. Why would anyone want to spend 25k plus on a car then 5k on a charger and let everyone else have the benefit. V2H is different as you make the choice to use the battery on...

    V2H or V2G availability

I know they are milking it which is why suddenly it doesn't seem to be available. Increase the price with electricity prices?? Can you provide more info on the battery build and bms? Very interested in this.

    V2H or V2G availability

Maybe so but the pay back is short compared to buying batteries. Battery prices have doubled in six months. If you bought 40kw of Pylontech batteries now would cost 15k plus. Without the inverter to go with it. If you wanted 40k of Tesla battery would cost 40k. I know they are milking it but...

    V2H or V2G availability

Also emailed Wallbox 3 times for information on supplying to the UK or providing details of a distributer but had no response.

    V2H or V2G availability

Thanks I am aware of that one but cant find a UK supplier. The price is expensive but when you weigh up unleashing 40kw of power from the car its worth considering.

    V2H or V2G availability

Thanks John I had already looked at Powerloop and the trial is over as with Indra. So not available through Octopus.

    V2H or V2G availability

Hi All Recently got consumed by renewable energy and fitted a 3.6kw solar array which will be dual axis tracking once completed. Went one step further and bought a EV due to ridiculous fuel prices. I've been following a few threads and people state they are getting V2H and V2G but as far as I...

Complete beginner looking for some basic pointers

Totally agree with using your EV as your battery storage. Are the V2G chargers now available in the UK? As I tried get to more information on this a few weeks ago and didn't get anywhere.

Is tracking solar worth the hassle?

Great set up. Where are you getting the data for the pre-defined points as it sounds like your not using Photocells? Arduino is also a great choice with so many options and easy to program.

Is tracking solar worth the hassle?

Will do Binky. Bit off from production figures yet. Took me while to work out how best to go about the way the dual axis would work. So gone for something different to what I've seen and much more simple to program. Still got lots to get over, some of which has been mentioned.

Is tracking solar worth the hassle?

Hi I have recently started a pair of dual axis solar arrays. I have the frame work built and mounted and all the cabling in place. I don't plan on using photocells for tracking as they can loose position easily on cloudy days. Its only a small system with 6 x 380 watt panels on each mount. If...

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Looks good. The immersion controller is a must I think. We spend £600 a year just heating the hot water so should pay for itself over the first summer.:D

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Ok great thanks. I was getting confused with Optimisers and Micro Inverters. Obviously you wouldn't need an Inverter if using Enphase. The figures you've sent are pretty much inline with a lot of the systems on the SMA Portal. Probably around 10 to 15% of the rated capacity for those periods...

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Nice one thanks for the info. Does using micro inverters improve the system if there isn't a shade issue or panels facing different directions? Are you using a Solic Inverter?

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Yeah the air source heat pump is not good in the winter. We have underfloor heating throughout the whole house and its also well insulated as only 8 years old. I try and get away with setting the room stats to 19/20c but not really warm enough (According to the wife:mad:). Even then we can...

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Thanks for the link Binky. Its a great website. A lot of the information on there is limited to annual production but some users do have the daily charts attached which has been helpful. It looks like the production figures over the winter months drops rapidly so battery storage isn't going to...

    Best Solar Panels for Winter

Thanks Binky We are going to be ground mounting them so what you are saying does make sense. So what would be expected over the winter period.5% 10%, 20% of capacity. Really blind at the minute and cant begin to size a system without knowing realistic figures. Was looking at the Q cell G9...
