    cable size for 3phase

Lol I am assuming ducting being the worst case.

    cable size for 3phase

The calculations ensure terminal temp is 70 C or less.

    cable size for 3phase

Steptoe By my calculations 70mm 90 C xple should be fine

    cable size for 3phase

What voltage is the inverter supplying at? Have we 100kw across three phases balanced at what nominal voltage?

    CABLE CALCS

Soulman is questioning his design to that of a standard circuit within the onsite guide, now if you know how to design the standard circuits you will know no diversity is applied to the lighting circuit. People are complicating things by going on about applying diversity to a final circuit. Now...

    CABLE CALCS

Soulmans design current is 1000w, so this is the figure he would use, the 66% is applied to Maximum demand not the final circuit current demand

    CABLE CALCS

Table 1A is for current demand of a final circuit. In a lighting circuit you would not normally use diversity for current demand, unless commercial or industrial where timers or management systems may be employed. Agreed, but not only lighting circuits. Agreed, but if your using there standard...

    CABLE CALCS

For lighting circuit the onsite guide states " Current equivalent to the connected load, with a minimum of 100 W per lampholder" The 66% may be used for assessment of Maximum Demand. Diversity plays no part, the Onsite Guide assumes a load equivalent to that of the protective device.

    Supplementary bonding under the 15th

Paul The change from the 14th to the 15th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations in 1981 created a big upheaval in the electrical installation industry as many new concepts were introduced and many existing practices were expanded or enhanced - one of those being supplementary equipotential...

    Supplementary bonding under the 15th

Paul Several key areas for supplementary. 1, can disconnection times be met? 2, supplementary bonding was required for certain locations(look at part six). Fundamentals remain the same.

Negative or positive pump head, Surrey Flange and more > Advice please

You need to make sure the pump is correctly sized Make sure your cistern is big enough Make sure you mount the pump correctly to lessen noise. Sounds like a positive system, gravity loop is there basically for air and heat. A lot depends upon the type of pump, heres a link for one type, some...

NO SARKY MS OR WINDOZE COMMENTS!

This might be a little late, though you may send the HDD to specialized firms, they can retrieve all the data off a broken drive, and not to much if i can recall.

    High Ze

Agreed Some dnos dont use pnb at all, depends upon your area as to whether you will comes across it. Saying that its been included in the dpc, restrictions on pnb will come down to risk, and this is what limits it use.

    Reconnecting existing electrics

The regs are not retrospective so i see no reason as to why you need to fit a new sub mains? I think you need to decide as to what level of risk is exists. And as you've pointed out theres exemptions for buried cables.

    Reconnecting existing electrics

Whats the Ze ? and whats the protective device?
  20. C

    High Ze

Many people i suspect. The installation needs to meet the requirements of BS7671, so a higher ZE may not be an issue if the dno decide that its down to network parameters. All they would do is ensure the main fuse is sized appropriately.
