We’re so far behind Europe in the way they wire it’s untrue.
Take France for example, never do ring circuits. Always and only radials. The cooker, washing machine, dishwasher all have their own dedicated circuit
I need to get a copy of a certificate for d/b installation. My son in law rented our house, had the works done by someone and won’t give me the certificate as I want to sell the property.
Can I download it from building control or NIC and would it cost?
Can anyone suggest a suitable timer for a shower. Customer wants to control time of day her lodger uses the shower for some reason. Don’t want one which uses a payment card just a timer.

So I have an old house with the sockets just sitting above the skirting boards. The floors are all laminate so can’t go taking them up.
I want to raise the sockets up the wall to the correct height but there’s no give on the cables in the existing sockets.
Anyone got any ideas how to extend...
Just doing a radial for 3 sockets, a fused spur and socket for washing machine and dish washer.
