I haven't got any fuse yet Plumber. I take you're point about discrimation. I'm going to speak to the DNO on Monday to explain the situation and see what he'd prefer that I do.

How will a switch fuse protect the tails? I've no intention of just sticking any cables into meters. All I want to know is why a switch fuse is needed?
