My wifes cousin had a loft conversion wired by an electricain (genuinly), before i joined the trade. He didn't do certs - or there was a problem with them, can't remember, and building control wouldn't give a completion cert. Over five years later, they decided to move and needed cert doing...

Stripping paint from shot peined anodized aluminium tubing

Just reading another forum, they suggest trying any stripper on a beer can first - obviously need to empty it first :) Some suggest media blasting, but say it will damage a polished finish. No mention of anodized finish

Stripping paint from shot peined anodized aluminium tubing

Oh ******, I thought the sticking point would be the pits, suspect any efforts to clear them will damage the finish anyway. I suspect that i'll have to repaint it, such a shame. Maybe I could use the stripper on the toe-rag instead. I think sand or media blasting would kill it, very thin...

Stripping paint from shot peined anodized aluminium tubing

Nothing electrical here... About 6 years ago some toe-rag stole my prized mountain bike. Amazingly a mate was offered it the other day, He asked me if it was worth having and sent me a pic. I spotted it as my own and, long stort short, got it back. :Applaud Doesn't seem to have be abused...

Told in college 2330 L3 and 2391 that you write what you get. Never do you write a specific value for an over range reading - one meter might read >299MOhms so write, what 298MOhms? Next inspection on a different meter >1000 Blooming heck its improved in service. I've just started HNC...

    Tutorials

Although Sidey can be a little pedantic, and admits it, he is right. When it comes to studies and exams he is spot on. I've just finished my apprenticeship. One of the lads at college "lost points" in his exams because the tutor wrongly said putting "multifunction" was the correct answer for...

    Anyone tried one of these?

When the safety police turn up, they like to see locked off and safety labeled breakers. Had them turn up the other day, ooops not locked off as C50 breakers. I've always been told they don't lock off. They do just need a Wylex MCBLDX So i now have a shiney new dolly lock and padlock.
