    Van broken into... security suggestions??

looking on social media the scumbags don't care if it has the standard locks or dead locks,,, they're very happy to cause whatever damage they need to get their hands on your gear... IMHO more locks means more extensive damage, with your van being off the road for a longer time than it would...

    Maximum Demand Query

The safe way to do this would be to get an EVSE installer to do the max demand calculations and send the ENA form off for approval before anything is installed... it's the hot tub that'll cause most of this issue IMHO Secondly,,, get an EVSE with load curtailment built in, then it can be set so...

    Separate DBs

It's usually because the existing CU has AC type RCD's and/or there isn't a SPD,,, or anything else that would make it difficult to make it compliant... Personally,,, if the CU can take it (safely) then I'll stick it in there

    Electric Vehicle Dist Board

Personally I'd just oversize the submain so that the VD is reduced,,, and run a couple of Cat5's back to the supply & router with it

Been asked to advise on KVA for new domestic connection.

Fast is typically 7kW single phase or 22kW three phase

    Electric Vans - Range

For everything that Jordan does with EV charge points his choice of EV van was appalling, in making his choice he over looked the most basic thing when choosing an EV,,, it's range compared to the typical journey... He could have made a much better choice

    Stripper

The basic answer is no as the insulated cable needs some sort of mechanical protection (the bedding isn't classed as mechanical protection)

    Electric Vans - Range

I'm with @johnb2713 on this..... my wife has an EV on notability lease... we wouldn't go back to ICE and I have looked at getting a Maxus eDeliver3 which seems to have the most realistic WLTP figures... just not sure of the size of it yet

    Electric Vans - Range

Hydrogen just isn't viable at the moment.. A fully electric car can do 40 miles for 10kWh of electric To create the hydrogen to do a similar number of miles would use 40kWh of electricity all (ish)

    Electric Vans - Range

the main problem is that different manufacturers load their differently when working out the WLTP figures... for most they use 20%, and lower, loaded figures,,, the only manufacturer that uses something at least close to reality is Maxus, they apparently use 70%
