    16kW single phase hybrid inverter

Not sure about that "nuetral earth link box" diagram. The red and black lines from the right of the "Inverter input protection box " both come from the red supply ? There isn't a new earth on the green "To backup AC distribution line" from the inverter, eg an earth spike. Is just linking the...

    Inverter dumping all stored energy

"take the live feed for the charger the opposite way through the CT for the solar," Or install a second CT on the EVSE supply, wire into the inverter in parallel with the first CT, adjust direction to give the desired effect ? Whichever is easiest.

    Pleased with Real-World EPS Operation

SSE advised there would be a Planned Outage in our area from 08:30 to 16:30, to enable the removal of tree branches too close to the power lines. I set the Time-Of-Use mode on the Sofar HYD5000-ES to charge the US3000C battery until 08:30. At 08:45 the power was cut, the Sunny Boy Solar...

Electric sockets for outside but undercover!

"How will they cope with any potential damp, moisture, frost, insects, UV, dust, heat, mechanical knocks, bumps etc.. etc.." Plus an accidental dousing with a garden hose, or a snow drift against that wall.

DC - DC Converter - 25 kW inverter

Max input voltage 1100V Rated voltage 600V Start-up voltage 180V There are experts who can advise on settings better than me. But I'd guess you configure your PV panels to supply at least 180V DC on a sunny winter day. But no more than 1100V DC on a sunny summer day.

DC - DC Converter - 25 kW inverter

"so that i can meet the input requirements of the Inverter" The inverter input requirements , aka Start-up Voltage, may be as little as 120V DC, so why not configure your PV panels to achieve that ?

    More submarines..

Discovery Channel are running a series about life on an Antarctic cruise ship that offers passengers helicopter and "submarine" excursions. https://www.scenicusa.com/scenic-eclipse-experience/submarine The two excursions they showed in the series seemed disappointing to me due to poor...

Remove redundant thermostat and power Smart Home Hub instead

Appears to be a Honeywell ST9100C. When you take the face plate off there's a diagram on the back plate.

Is there any shading ? Even the shadow of a power cable or telephone line can reduce output.

    New PV Solax system

A wireless energy meter may have a battery powered sender, but a wired CT doesn't need one.

1gang metal Pattress boxes in kitchen too close together to fit faceplate . How do I move one a little to left .?Please advise

"What would you do with the decorative cover (?) " Ah, as how horrible it looked was mentioned, I thought that was the finished article ! Trimming won't work if there's a grey cover for it, like the other one.

    Electrical lifetime ?

Yes our cast iron wall mounted gas CH boiler never wore out. Only replacement item was the thermocouple heated by the pilot flame, to switch off the gas if it blew out or if the gas flow was interrupted.

1gang metal Pattress boxes in kitchen too close together to fit faceplate . How do I move one a little to left .?Please advise

Why not remove the white plastic lip from the right-hand edge of the one-gang socket ? Or even remove the lip all the way round if the look is that important ?

    Electrical lifetime ?

The neon on a Crabtree 13A switched outlet in our house has "blown" (the glass is blackened) after about 50 years of use, was always on. Way back a "budget, unreliable" Curry's Matsui microwave was still going strong after about 30 years, it was too large for the kitchen where we moved to...

Slimline consumer units and access doors

I'm no expert, but Screwfix still sell CU's with flaps hinged at the bottom ? Some more description of the location would help. Will a flush-fit CU work ?

    Clock connectors

On reflection I agree the lighting circuit rather than the power circuit is more likely to be the source. But let's concentrate on solutions rather than discussing Best Practices.
