Each to there own I suppose, but I wasn’t looking for advice on what type of lights to use.

My sensor has a N and I’ll be running 3core&E to sensor. My whole consumer unit is rcd protected 

Would you recommend installing the isolation switch near consumer unit? Would I link from a near by switch live onto this isolation switch with 1.5m t&e Then from isolation switch onto photocell with 1.5m 3core&E  Then from photocell daisy chain my 4 lights out?    Thanks

Tbh I wouldn’t mind my front light or side light on as I’m sat at the back of my house. My choice would be not to link and run cables on the outside walls. Atm I do have access to under the bottom landing floor boards and top landing floor boards and the attic. Do you have any...

Hi I have a pir lantern at my front door I’m going to replace this with new lantern with dusk till dawn bulb. Down the line I plan on fitting another side light at my bins and also 2 up/down lights at the back patio door one at each side and possibly 4 decorative spike lights within the garden...

I’ve got a fluke T6-600 with a continuity bell tester and tested both lives belled out, tested both N and they belled out also with the earths, so this proves it’s part of the ring right?    Thanks 👍🏻

Yeah the double socket is part of the ring mate. Could I just spur a single socket from the double one?    If not could you explain how to fuse down? Would it be 2.5 t&e to 13am fused spur then 2.5 t&e into single switched socket from the fused the fused spur?    Thanks

Meant to type linear (strip light). It’s all good, gotit working. Traced the l1&l2 cable back to the  light then from there it went back to the consumer box. Just tapped into the perm live at the light.  So goes from light to new switch  new switch to solar solar to downlights 👍🏻 Thanks...

The red and black in the pic wired into L1 & L2 are coming off the same cable and coming from a live feed from a linear light

So I’ve tapped my brown into live feed. When garage lights are on switch for the down lights work no problem. When the garage lights get switched off the switch for downlights don’t work. And when I switch the garage lights on the downlights go on then solar puts them out cause it’s daylight...

Up and running, tripped the breaker in house. Any ideas what to do at the switch? 

Great tapped into the red in L1 which was the main live coming in turned power back on and nothing works and get no voltage now at the same live feed 🙈
