    Power of electricians

I think you'll find that they weren't grown in any soil. In fact they are decendants of the monkeys that fell out of the money tree at the beginning of time. :P

harmonistaion is the fault of everything

New earthing points are added when the network is extended, altered or repared and on new connections. The kits I use come with an earth electrode which is like steps said kinda like a long pigtail connected to the N/E and sticking out of the joint.

Thanks darling, you paying the council for the opening notice? I guess you don't have a streetworks ticket so I'll have to sort out chapter 8. :P

That would be one way to make the footpaths look like a patchwork :slap

Is this what we need to expect from President Trump?

This proves that Trump is the only American who watches the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest semifinals. That was the only thing he could possibly be refering to.

Things I do not like or am not particularly fond of

I was indeed :D  But I was all in one piece when I left, more or less. (I never realised how much of a weakness I have for men with an irish accent...  )

Things I do not like or am not particularly fond of

As far as I remember from my school days, the vikings went to Iceland, then Greenland and then the next stop was Newfoundland. But I had no idea about St Brendan.  I wonder if they teach history from the Native Americans point of view in the US and Canada. "One day a ship arrived and this matey...

It got adapted to sound more Swedish by my grandad. If he had known that both his grandkids were gonna emigrate he probably wouldn't have bothered :slap

Shame you weren't around to tell your ancestors that when the vikings arrived. :P   I vote for calling it ananasphobia though, because ananas means pineapple in pretty much any language apart from english.  There's a really old pub down the road from me called The Pineapple. Apparently it's...

Things I do not like or am not particularly fond of

It would be nice if I could say that it doesn't happen very often, but the last time it happened was friday. As an interesting observation, it only ever happens before they have watched me do live work, never after. Strange.  I do now, but 12 years of school and college where lunch was provided...

Things I do not like or am not particularly fond of

I have a long-standing disagreement with pineapple, but I have now come to a point where I will accept that it's in my food if I'm given sufficient warning so that I can mentally prepare myself. Nothing worse than quietly enjoying my lunch and suddenly there's pineapple in my mouth like...

Things I do not like or am not particularly fond of

Missing tools, even if they are only missing for 5 seconds.  When womens clothing only comes in small, medium and large and large is a size 12. Having to really careful in some places in case someone's left their hypodermic needles around.  How easily I bruise.  People who don't like dogs. ...

As if death by electrocution wasnt bad enough....

I would love to be able to make this the icon for the tinder app on my phone! :slap   On a more serious note speaking of death and electricution, I only found out today about the jointer who got killed in Cardiff just before New Years. Please be safe out there people <3

Anyone looked at their savings account lately ?

I do a couple of different sharesave schemes through work and I see them as an alternative to putting money in my savings account. The way they work is that if the share price drops when the scheme matures then I get back what I put in. So I have nothing to lose really as the interest I would...

    FUN-LV

You're not allowed to terminate cables in a live LV pillar, that's why. My lot doesn't allow it and I doubt any other DNO does.  3 live exposed busbars and a stripped end of a wavecon to put away, it only takes a stray neutral strand across two of them and you've successfully made yourself into...

    I’m hanging up my boots

How did you manage to get them to last 42 years @Tony S?! Mine last a year to 18 months, but they are worn a lot!
