I've Googled metrel tester but the brand in general gets a bit of a stick regrading consistency of results. As I've never used them I wondered whether it was worth a punt at the price they are.  I've pm'd megger mark but as I have written in my other thread I've spoken to technical at megger...

As my megger meltifunction tester has now broken i'm looking for another tester, I don't want to spend the earth and have found a fair few metrel testers at reasonable money. Anyone have one? Thanks Neil

It was an internal 1A fuse but on replacing that the tester now does loop test but rcd testing has stopped functioning, I've called tech support at megger and its a relay on a board. They've stopped making the board so its basically knackered. New tester required

Ok. Before i strip it down i'll put a different fuse in. A bit of foil if all else fails!

Is the label sticky paper? The regs require them to be indelible 

It seems to push into the holder quite well so i don't think its the holder.

I can get one of those label printers for £38. Are the rolls and ink expensive
