Megger 1500 multi tester - check fuse

My tester seems to have developed a fault. The check fuse icon has come up but when belling out the fuse it comes bells fine. I haven't got another handy but if its belling out i suspect it is an internal fuse? I've tried taking it apart but i cant even get into it! Anyone have an idea on what it could be?

there is an internal fuse (not that i have blown that before....)

Is it the fuse holder itself? May need the legs punched together slightly? I should say I'm not familiar with the fuses of the Megger.

It seems to push into the holder quite well so i don't think its the holder.

It could well be the fuse, I had one on my fluke that tested ok but wouldn't function in the tester, replaced fuse and all was well.

Ok. Before i strip it down i'll put a different fuse in. A bit of foil if all else fails!

It was an internal 1A fuse but on replacing that the tester now does loop test but rcd testing has stopped functioning, I've called tech support at megger and its a relay on a board. They've stopped making the board so its basically knackered.

speak to @megger mark, he might be able to sort something for it
