Solar PV system with not tied into the grid?

Hi, i bought it from bimble solar (for £550): (click on download to get access to the manual and datasheet etc) https://www.bimblesolar.com/epever-upower-24v-3000w-100a-lithium-all-in-one (their picture is incorrect- it shows the old version) One on ebay here: bit pricy for a second hand...

Solar PV system with not tied into the grid?

If you dont want grid tie, you can use a pass through hybrid inverter like im doing. Seperate system to the grid. When pv and batteries run out, it takes the feed from the grid, but is unable to feed back to the grid, hence why it is a good diy solution.

    Growatt vs Pylontech batteries

I was told by bimble solar that pylontech batteries will shut down after 15mins if they have no bms comms... I was considering them until they told me that, as my inverter doesnt yet fully support the pylon protocol..

What battery storage do you use?

Hi, ive just finished installing 12 x 240w jinko panels (second hand) for my semi-off grid diy setup. Im looking to add battery backup. I Was initially going to go for lead acid storage (8 x trojan t105's), but have decided to go for lithium as my inverter is capable and lithium just seems a...

Thanks 👍. Ive just gone and ordered the epever 3k all in one inverter above. After using dr google, epever seems a reasonally good cheap make according to some. I also had a conversation with a man from bimble solar and it does seem to do everything i need it to do, with some head room also...

    2kw off grid with batterys

Plus, after reading a review of a "powmr" all in one inverter, the chap says the minimum voltage to charge the batterys is 150v. So his 8 x 12v batts were not enough! Does anyone know if the above inverters will charge just 4 x 12v batts? In 24v configuration? Thanks again. This just gets...
