    I would have thought it would be easier to just have an ON indicator light that illuminates when the button is pressed. So that something has happened and someone does not try again. If you wanted a signal lamp/buzzer that switches off after a few seconds then a 12V (if you can find one)  off...

    For the elucidation of the non cognoscenti the active indicative third person singular of the Latin verb Ardere: to burn, is ardet, which may be translated as "he burns" and to add to the confusion reversing burns gives snrub, should this be more familiar to anyone. Cheers, Richard

    You might be getting a "high" resistance through the MCBs, have you tried testing with the MCB off and a Line earth link at the end of the circuit and the tester probes across in and out of the MCB?

    I think the BG USB sockets state that they can be IR tested and guarantee a reading >10MΩ. Most USBs now ought to be (but probably aren't) only live when a USB plug is inserted, they certainly were talking about that as a basic approach.

    Hello all, just joined. Basic electrician, not working too hard if I can help it! Reasonable understanding of the requirements, hopefully I may be able to provide some input. Let's see how this goes! :)
