Hello everybody,
first post to say Hi.
The name's Pete.. Always had a passion for all things electrical and electronic/ham radio, spent my working life as a Technician then for 30 years as a Lecturer.
Re-wired a few house "back in the day, long before Part P, and just embarking on a full re-wire of a family member's house, having put in a "Building Notice" to the Local Authority Building Control, who will inspect, test, and certify the work.
Totally immersing myself in the Wiring regs.at the moment ( before the 18th Edition rears it's ugly head! ) Bought the appropriate test equipment, so will be interesting to see how my results compare with the "official"numbers.
Anyway I'm sure there will be lots of questions to ask, so I thought that these forums contain a wealth of experience and knowledge, and would be a good place to start.
