    Regulations concerning meter tails

If max demand of install won't exceed CCC of 16mm's but haven't had chance to check this and not a pro where diversity concerned so think best to quote on basis might need to...

    Regulations concerning meter tails

Nice one mate. The copex runs up and then to left to a about a meter into flat. If can't get new tails through existing copex sure I'll find a way of fishing them through once I get fuseboard off. Might be pain but where there's a will there's a way

    Regulations concerning meter tails

The meters sat within plasterboard in landlord area. The copex running straight up so depending on how tight bend is could be bit of a tight pull. Just for clarity the only reason these tails would need to be upgraded to double insulated would be if run within 50mm of surface and either not...

    Regulations concerning meter tails

I'm just doing some rewiring on his kitchen but has asked me to quote on new fuseboard. Got concerns though them tails aren't going to be easy to wire through the copex. Interested to know if this proves to be a mare is there possibilty existing tails could be deemed adequate.

    Regulations concerning meter tails

6491X Andy and is in flexible copex. If the tails are run within voids greater than 50mm and/or within safe zones does this ommit the need for double insulation or additional protection via RCD? If neither present and tails run within 50mm of surface the plastic copex surely isn't classed as...

Complying with all regs on this consumer unit change

Guy has just bought property having it done up, having certain areas rewired. He also needs another circuit or two for cooker etc. He was pretty adamant would like new 18th ed DB.  For what its worth the config of DB doesn't provide rcd protection at moment although could be rejigged.

Complying with all regs on this consumer unit change

Hi All Still early days for me with going it alone and trying to do best to do all works in compliance with regs or don't do it at all. So would rather eat humble pie with lack or knowledge in some areas. Have been asked to potentially change this consumer unit. Got a few details on it and want...

    Another dumb arse question

Dave, it describes itself as Wi-Fi enabled so I take this to mean it just connects to internet for better adjustment of settings via the remote control. One of reasons thought might be better to be located outside for improved signal but this might not be a factor. Where the thermostat is...

I had been working though it quite a few years sub contracting was a better bet when HMRC started clamping down on CIS forcing you through umbrella companies. In all fairness it isn't that different from being sole trader, still all expenses treated the same and get the benefit of things like...
