    Gu10 Bulbs Keep Blowing.

    Been asked by a few of people that have recessed / down lights with gu10 blubs in them why they keep blowing. Just wondering if anybody knew some kind of common fault or reason why they could blow. I don't know maybe its do with the way there installed or some one has decided to cover them up...

    hi , it something i just wanted to check as  this is something i deal with from day to day , this is why i asked the question and thought i would ask and see if i got a anwser straight away instead of spending ages on the internet and old college book and not getting anywhere.

    Hi   i wouldnt say dead teasting was quicker but a compertent spark can  still work safely  and do the job properly doing live testing.

    Hi , when i did turn the isolate the circuirt i did prove it was dead by testing at the switch on the suppy and load side as well as the fitting.

    it is a fluch to ceiling one , but my point is where to put a fan isolation switch. do it need to go in a hall way out side the bathrrom or above the door in the room. this is what im trying to find out

    main bonding needs to be connected with in 600mm of the pipe work entering the building . It must be on the users side on the water ( after the stop cock) and before the first tee off on the gas.

    Can someone point me in the right direction of the 17th edition regs with regaurds to fan isolators. Im looking at fitting a extractor fan in a bathroom that currently dosnt have one. Im trying to see if its a regulation that i need to fit a fan isolator or if its just good practice.
