    you're not wrong about the damage. i've already pulled out all the socket cast iron boxes in the front and bedrooms and some of the lightswitches. they were attached to metal conduit via a screwed clamp. one or 2 would not budge so had to yank the box off leaving the screwed clamp still in place...
