    Luxna downlights 😩

The house with the most failures is not high voltage also the house had a new re-wire and is all on point. When they have failed it has been one fitting go at a time over the space of a few months and weeks in some cases. The latest ones installed have been in a month before Christmas tops and...

    Luxna downlights 😩

The quality of the fitting is good. Just the reliability of them in my case. The odd few have failed in more than one house I have fitted them in. And the fact they changed the inline connector was a bit of a nuisance aswell as in one house where a few failed in different rooms needed the inline...

Safe solution of having a cu 10 meters away from meter

That's why I'd use some chunky trunking to contain the cable or I would end up using a metal box to take the swa and then glands to take cables singly to kmf.  Just thought if trunking was butted up to the kmf it would look neater

Safe solution of having a cu 10 meters away from meter

Was thinking to have a big enough trunking that will be between the swa and switch, therefore have a gland on the swa attached to trunking and cable to go through another drilled hole in trunking to the switch.

I was thinking that to Andy. It would be good to know if anybody else has done this. Even though the calculations add up and nothing in the regs says you cant I haven't done it this way before and in the back of my mind it feels as though I am taking a chance. I don't really want to take a...

Domestic Rewire (Smoke Alarms, Heat Detectors And More)

I would usually run the smoke alarms from the nearest lighting circuit. And usually in a standard size home for power and lighting I would have on one rcd ground floor lighting, kitchen power and 1st floor power and another rcd would have 1st floor lighting and ground floor power.  This would...
