    Why do people risk so much just to save a few quid? Granted I am chasing in the wires on my extension and running the cables, but even if I were permitted to connect it all up I still would not because im not an electrician, its all great till something goes wrong.

    Pity I did not find this site earlier, if I had I would of ordered 4mm t&e so no restrictions would be placed on it. I can always use a 20amp as you guys say, so no worries in the end. Thank you to everyone who posted, it has helped me a lot.

    Thanks Andy I think the max run is about 16 meters of cable so should be ok.

    Hi Trailer Boy, thanks for answering. I thought one or two parts would be overkill but I was unsure of how many sockets could go on a radial when using 2.5mm t&e and not 4mm. Was hoping to get a Consumer unit with many spare ways so was not to worried withy it being overkill.
