Straight in the ground for me....Wouldn't want to draw anymore attention to it.

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

After looking - I agree My previous statement was incorrect about the electrician having to notifying. "legally the responsibility of the Landlord or Homeowner" I wonder how much work gets done that should be notified but isn't because the homeowner doesn't even know what Part P is and the...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

If my situation were different I may have to look at joining a scam, but currently I have enough work with not taking notifiable works.

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

I refuse to pay them, so just don't take on Notifiable work.

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

As much as I agree with your sentiment, I don't think that's strictly true.

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Can't deny that but as mentioned, this is where 7671 and part P differ. I haven't seen the job, just got mentioned to me today by a friend.

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

I hope that wasn't sarcastic, certainly not here to argue, well not in a non constructive manor anyway Genuinely interested in other people's reading of certain things

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Garden isn't a special location and neither is bathroom, part p approved document states special location as the are surrounding bath or shower tray (zones)

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Apparently they haven't lost notifications, 'some' people are still notifying

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Have you not read any of this thread... the heat mats are in place under the tiles that is it, they would like the thermostat/controller outside of the bathroom as is their light switch. Straight forward enough work to do, I just wanted a few more constructive views or opinions on it as I have...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Oh right..... So you can't answer my question because you don't know the answer, so you just notify because you're unsure! Wow and there was me thinking you were well above the rest of us!

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Nope definitely not a member of any of the scams, but I could probably ring one of them and get the same response that someone who pays would, even if they told me it was notifiable, I'd like to know why? And what makes it notifiable. Anyway I see post no 6 and it just says you would notify...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Another pleasant post from Murdoch..... I've asked for others views and I can not see any info or facts to support them, do you have any?

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Yeah I'll see what it says. If it were my house I'd have warm feet already but always different when working for someone else.... Just re read the Part P Doc - I can't see how this is notifiable...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Just reading Elcsa's information sheet, it says on here specifically electrical underfloor heating is no longer notifiable so that coupled with the fact it's not within the zones I'm leaning towards this being non notifiable.
  16. Southcoast2015

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Well Nic EIC documents says only notifiable within zones and 7671 says finished floor level which I would say was stating tiles, carpets etc etc I'm not for one minute saying any of these replies are wrong by the way, I was hoping for a definitive answer with some reasoning but it seems a bit...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Well the zones are from finished floor level according to 7671. So with that in mind it isn't in a zone, it's only about 600w (so I'm told) so can be powered from FCU on RCD protected ring so no new circuit and all control accessories they want located outside bathroom anyway. I'm not...

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Yeah RCD, fully tested all above board. As I believe it's just the zones that fall under Part P, the bit I don't get is none of it is in a zone so thinking along these lines I would have thought it wouldn't be Part P. (Not saying you're wrong, just trying to understand it)

    Bathroom Underfloor Heating Part P?

Never dealt with Underfloor heating before, A friend has laid it and tiles already (bit silly without testing first) he's asked if I can come and connect it up, Supply and thermostat is outside of bathroom and obviously the heat mats are under the tiles so below finished floor level so I would...
