In  a small shower room I'm replacing an old extractor fan with a new Manrose 4" timed one. (old one wasn't timed). There is only one cable from the wall with red , black and earth cores. This is fitted high up on the wall and,  about 2 feet away  is what  I think you would call a "fused spur"...
