Thanks for your reply - it’s definitely a vintage light not vintage style - there’s nothing to suggest it’s double insulated or any other stickers etc. Is the best thing to do get it rewired with a 3-core cable? Or is there a way to double insulate it now?  Thanks!

Hi, I have a vintage metal wall light which has no earth cable. The cable in the wall I’d like to attach it to does have an earth, and is switched on and off via a fused switch below. As the light is metal, does it need to be earthed to be safe to connect?
