I have 16 panels  2 x 8 strings (in series)  On string 2 the first and second panels are severely shaded by a neighbouring chimney for half the day.  The question(s) I have is...  1. If panel 1&2 is shaded I understand thier performance will be impacted... But will the other six panels...

So, my next stupid question ☺  I have pylontech (3000c) battery and want to put an isoltor switch between it and the inverter. Now the question is what isolation switch, a single pole? I assume I only need to isolate the positive end.  If not what isoltor switches are you using to isolate both +/-

Appologies, I misunderstood what you were asking. ☺  Yes the house load is about 300w per hour (idle at day) but if washing machine etc is on then its obviously higher.  Also the battery is never fully charged so surley it would still draw power to charge battery? 

It's on grid inverter. Sofar solar 5000es Load is house and there is also a pylontech battery.  I'm going to wait till I add the second string this weekend and see if that helps. I will post my results. It has been very overcast (up here is sunny Scotland) and possibly the inverter needs more...

Yes I appreciate the figures but my total daily generation for today was 0.07kw.and that is the best I have seen all week 😂 normally its about 10w-20w generated at any given hour.  Thanks for your reply. I sure hope so. As I said i have the rest of the panels going up this weekend so hope to...
