I didn't know Paul, but he was a major presence in this forum and I read and learnt from many of his posts, I saw a comment from him recently when he said that he had terminal cancer. He was still contributing to the forum in the last few days. Very sad news.

What sort of inverter and battery do you have? without knowing any details my instinctive response is that either your inverter or battery is f*cked, panels don't fail very often, Lead acid batteries don't like deep discharge and if you have been cycling it a lot it may have reached end of life.

I have not used that setting but I think if its set to off then you can export, however the settings system for Growatt is, in my opinion terrible, and I don't trust what its says on that screen. Personally I would go into settings, enter the passcode at the bottom, then click on 'Advanced Set'...

I am not a fan of lead acid batteries for home storage but if you were planning to use them I heard this week that Solis have stopped supporting them on their newer Hybrid inverters.

That is exactly how I did it on mine, but the 90% thing didn't work, I assume your cheap rate is 0030-0430. My inverter seems to ignore the max charge soc and just charges to 100%. John has just posted something about newer firmware which hopefully will also help me.
