0.4s & 0.04s

Hi,

Just wanted clarification as been getting confused with these disconnection times.

0.4s is the max time allowed for fuses and circuit breakers to disconnect and 0.04s is the time for 30ma rcd's

.

Just a simple one for you lot but where ive been reading constantly for past year ive confused myself.

0.4 unless a distribution circuit or circuit over 32amps of hand.

and 0.04s is 40ms so yes for the rcds on 5x
