12v downlights trip mcb when switched off

it trips even with no lights on exept the bathroom

What sort of transformers are they. I changed some in a kitchen last year that where the torodial type one had burnt out and as they have no circuit protection they are a fire hazard, that was tripping the circuit breaker. I ended changing them for megaman low energy as the holes where the right size.
