Yes @rapparee, I think that is the correct version, I would not disagree, my poor interpretation of The Book I suspect.

However, in my defence Your Honour, it kind of means the same thing.

My father died at 72. My mum is still hanging on (severe dementia and doesn't even know who I am, very sad) at 90.

I am having this "battle" with SWMBO. When we eventually find a buyer for the old house and complete the new one, we should be reasonably well off.  I want to use that windfall to fund retiring ASAP and enjoying whatever time I have left. SWMBO it seems wants to do lots of expensive things and doesn't want me to stop working yet as we still won't have enough money to do what She wants. HELP.

You have the right idea though .... there are many things we can no longer do , or not without great difficulty as  Mrs Deke is disabled  , but we don't know whats coming . 

Although we all have to lose family & close friends its still sad to hear of those entertainers that we grew up with , passing .    Makes us face our own mortality I suppose  ... Jeez  !!!   I remember  when Buddy Holly died ...we thought he,s only 24   how can that happen?

oddly enough, I will never retire, i like to feel useful. I will only be doing work that I want to though and probably not electrics - I have plans to get creative!  :BadIdea:   :slap
