Hello
I’m still at college and learning at the moment so apologies if this question is simple to answer but I’m just second guessing myself
part of the design project for my level 3 qualification asks for a cable to be run for swimming pool equipment
the specification is:
Pool equipment requires a 32A 400V 3 phase supply.(All equipment to be installed by a specialist contractor)
Supply using 5 core 70 degree thermo plastic SWA clipped directly
Pool Area is at 40 degrees
So my understanding is that
Ib = 32A
Ib = In
so In =32A
Ca = 0.87
so 32/0.87
It = 36.78
Reference Method C
table 4D4A for cable sizing
maximum demand is 96A
if I’m wrong I’d like to understand where im wrong my college is very hit and miss at replying atm
