Well It's been just short of 2 months & after countless phone calls & reminders hand delivered to his home address, business address & accountants, I've eventually managed to get in contact with a customer about payment of an over due invoice to the tune of

You can get their accounts from companies house for a few quid.

Cheers patch, I'm giving to the end of the month then he gets both barrels & a visit from some mates to one of his establishments.

Start going in and eating then don't pay. Get all your mates there too and drink loads then tell them you thought that it was ok to get it free as thats what they did to you.

Thats the plan] along with a posting here of the company/restraunts name so those in the local area know to stay clear of doing any work for him.

Spoke to a mate who has also been stung by an Asian customer (in Reading) & the storey is the same...A few small jobs with instant paying then quote on a large job where they say thats a bit on the high side so we are only wanting XXX doing, can you requote, then accept the quote but then at invoice time either dont reply or claim no money & want to haggle the cost for cash.......

Well quite frankly f*** em the works done to a high standard (new circuit wired in fp for 7x smart floods with greenbrooke timer) & I want paying, no haggling no messing about or it's a call to enviro health & immigration because the workers at one of the places all sleep in the dining area after closing time (they were all still kipping on the floor when we turned up on a Saturday morning to do the job) & a visit to scoff & run at the other places......

Not a man to bear a grudge but I know a few who areO)

I've had some similar run-ins with similar people. Had a job years ago just went to look at the sign outside, wanted some new tubes and starters so agreed a price then popped off to the wholesalers and got back when he asked about some other bits and bobs. Then he said he could pay me in free meals. Not much good to me so I just left. Not really done much for any of them, had several curry houses that have been slow to pay or have just not bothered, most of it for small amounts (<

Once had a similar situation. Walked into the guy's bar (well known local celeb.) when it was really busy & proceeded to embarass him in front of his yuppie customers. Also had a bag of tools & a van & threatened to remove any equipment we'd supplied that he hadn't paid for.

Worked a treat - red-faced customer emptying his till to pay up.

Yes Mat, will just have to find it first, it was setup by a builder that got stung for building a

but wouldnt there be loads of legal implications about stating someone owed you X
